I have the honour to state that I have had under consideration representations made by Mr. T. Dallin, First Assistant Auditor, regarding his salary which is at the rate of £420 rising to £540 by triennial increments of £40.

2.

Mr. Dallin was appointed Examiner in the Exchequer and Audit Department, London, in February, 1904, and he became Assistant Auditor in Southern Nigeria in October, 1906. He received his present post in Hongkong in July, 1910. He will in the ordinary course draw his first increment of £40 during the current year and having regard to the length of his service under the Crown, I have to recommend that he should be permitted to draw a second increment with effect from the lst. January, 1914. The Local Auditor reports highly of his work.

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

Your most obedient,

humble servant,

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE

LEWIS HARCOURT, M.P.,
